Tracking Our Progress
Each week, we monitor mosquito populations in both the SIT release site and a matched control site to evaluate the impact of our SIT trial. These weekly collections provide insight into how the release of sterile male Aedes aegypti mosquitoes is affecting the wild mosquito population over time.
Below is a summary of our findings to date. The graph shows the average number of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes collected per week in both areas. The control site is a nearby neighborhood with similar environmental conditions, but no sterile males are being released there.
Our data is updated weekly to reflect the most recent trends observed during ongoing surveillance.
