PCMCD is actively responding. We are conducting intensified surveillance and mosquito control throughout Pasco County.
You may not hear our trucks. Much of our ULV fleet now uses quieter electric spray equipment.
We are treating day and night. Larval control and adult mosquito control require different approaches and timing.
Dengue is spread by infected mosquitoes. Aedes aegypti is established in Florida and can occur throughout Pasco County.
There is no single "dengue spray." Effective control requires Integrated Mosquito Management — surveillance, source reduction, larviciding, and adulticiding.
You are part of the response. Eliminate standing water and protect yourself from mosquito bites.
We will continue to adapt. Our response is being guided by disease activity, mosquito surveillance, environmental conditions, and treatment results.
